Know your makeup

Wow, it's been awhile since I've blogged- too long! It's been a very busy couple of weeks, as I'm sure it has been for a lot of people. I have been working on ideas for some accessories that I want to start making, and I'm really excited to share them with everyone! When I have them ready I will be sure to post so I can get some opinions:) Anyways, I've been doing lots of research online for these new projects that I'm starting, and through that, I found a website that is ran by mother and daughter make up artists who are trying to spread the word on being aware of the many toxins that are in everyday makeup. Now more than ever, people are trying to educate themselves on the products and food they buy, so that they can identify hazardous ingredients. I think the awareness has been primarily heavy when it comes to food, but there is just as much to know about the products we put on our skin as well. The website has videos that explain which ingredients you should watch out for when buying makeup. Last night I was watching these while doing a face mask, and a few of the ingredients on the toxic ingredients list were in the mask I was wearing! (and I have a feeling they're in a lot more than just that) Check out the website to Nature's Knockout to see for yourself, or if for nothing else, their great makeup tips and application tutorials!
