Sun Kissed

Over the last couple weeks we've had some days with really great weather! On those days, I've really enjoyed not having to worry about bringing a jacket or wearing something light over my tank top when I leave the house. The draw back of it almost being summer is that, although it's warm enough to wear shorts, your legs might not be ready. They may still resemble the tone they do in winter when your skin's not seeing any sun. Luckily this is a quick fix and one that can be done without a toxic tanning bed. Using a tinted moisturizer will do the trick if you're able to be patient and give it a few days before seeing results. If you need something a bit faster try picking up a self tanning lotion and you'll be able to tell a difference within a day. I did a bit of research on the best self tanning lotions and moisturizers to see how they're rated on various things like price, smell, results, streaking etc. Here are my top picks in no particular order:

  1. Hi Steph,
Thanks for doing the comparisons. What was your opinion on the lasting power? I tried one last year but it washed right off. Am I expecting too much?

  2. Hi Tammy,

Do you remember which brand you tried last year? The Clarins brand seems to be reviewed the best this year, but it is more expensive. It should last at least 5 days before needing to re-apply. It's also rated the best in looking the most natural. The less expensive ones usually only last about 2 days though, so it all depends. I hope this helps! :)

  3. Steph,
Was this topic directed at me? LOL! I will give this a try and let you know what I think. Thanks for the helpful tips!! :)
